Step 2: Take GMAT and find out approximate score range.

Step 3: Research colleges using business week website and US news and find out colleges which fall in your score range. GMAT and GPA.

Step 4: Visit the college websites and find out more about the college.

Step 5: Shortlist about six colleges to apply.

Step 6: Prepare for the GMAT.

Step 7: Take the GMAT.

Step 8: Take TOEFL.

Step 9: Visit the short listed college website and start filling in the application forms

Step 10: Complete all online applications

Step 11: Get recommendation letters.

Step 12: Send the transcripts by courier.

Step 13: Wait for the interview calls.

Step 14: Prepare for the interviews.

Step 15: Wait for the results.

Step 16: Send decision to college.

Step 17: Send request for I 20 forms

Step 18: Receive I20 forms from college

Step 19: Apply for Visa interview

Step 20: Prepare visa documents

Step 21: Appear for Visa interview

Step 22: Pay security deposit to college

Please find below a rough timetable of the admission process for a two year MBA program. This is only intened to be a guideline. Please refer to individual college websites/ brochures for actual information.

The important factor that the student needs to be aware is that the preperation for getting into MBA in united states takes a year or slightly more than that.

June - July	Reserach and shorlist colleges to apply.
July - August	Start your GMAT preperations
August - September	Time to give your GMAT & TOEFL exams
September - November	Application deadlines for Round 1 for Fall of next year.
January - February	Round 2 application deadlines. Round 1 & Round 2 financial aid application deadlines. Interviews for Round 1 & Round 2 applicants.
March - April	Round 3 application deadlines. Round 3 Financial aid application deadlines. All applicants notified of thier acceptance/ rejection.
April-May	Students accept offer from college. College mails request for I-20 form to students
June-July	Students mail back the request form. I-20 form is sent from college. Visa application process starts.
August	Orientation program for international students. Pre-MBA Program.
September	Two year MBA program begins.
